Fruit and Beer Love

I’m about to bottle a raspberry (picked from the garden, soured then added to wort ) and blueberry ( fresh Michigan berries bought at Blueberry Fest at Johnson’s Farms and added to secondary) beer.

This beer is the culmination of my obsession with the sour cherry I had at Lagunita’s for Laura’s birthday.

As I’ve chronicled on this blog, I’ve been trying many beers in my sour fruit adventures. I’m always so happy when I get to try beers that exceed my expectations.

Yes it does taste exactly as it reads. Also they make an excellent pumpkin beer.

Short’s Brewing of Bellaire, MI, for the win on this multi-fruit ale that is bubbly light refreshment. After having one in a mixed six pack, I eagerly sought it out again.

And since I started and stopped this post, my beer is finished and quite delicious. Next time I’ll need more fruit punch, but always happy to be impressed by my own works of art.
